61Micheal Jackson's death treated as murder
Los Angeles police are treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide and are focusing on Dr Conrad Murray, entertainment website TMZ.com reports.
The pop singer's family has spoken of "unanswered questions" concerning Dr Murray's role in the final hours of Jackson's life, though Dr Murray's lawyers insist he has been cleared of wrongdoing.
TMZ says "the evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death", citing "multiple" law-enforcement sources.
The sources say there was already "plenty of powerful evidence" pointing to Dr Murray, 51, as the person who administered the drug - whose brand name is Diprivan - to Jackson.
This evidence is said to include items found in Jackson's rented mansion, including Propofol, an IV stand and an oxygen tank.
Propofol is used to induce unconsciousness in hospital patients ahead of major surgery and experts say it should only be administered by a trained anesthesiologist.
The Los Angeles Police Department has already had "multiple conversations with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, even though the case has not yet been formally presented to the District Attorney," TMZ said.
TMZ's report comes after the Los Angeles County coroner's office summoned the superstar's dermatologist, Arnold Klein, on Tuesday (local time), seeking "additional medical records" from the physician's Beverly Hills office.
Investigators have been scrutinising the possible role of drugs in the death of Jackson, who died on June 25 aged 50 after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest.
Micheal Jackson Foul Play Suspected
Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, 79, clearly put forward that he suspects "foul play" in the death of the singer, articulating that his son had seemingly ingested drugs to assist him to relax and that he "never woke up."
He told ABC News (America) in an exclusive TV interview broadcast on Friday (local time) that he was dumbfounded when he found that his son, 50, collapsed at home and was being hurried to the hospital two weeks ago.
"I just couldn't conceive what was happening to Michael. I do believe it was foul play. I really do believe that," he said, without elaborating.
Asked what he knew about powerful prescription drugs reportedly found at Jackson's home after his June 25 death, Joe Jackson said: "I didn't know anything about the drugs. I didn't even know the name of them. But I do know that whatever he'd taken was to endeavor to give him rest because he had been working so hard, and that drug was supposed to try and make him relax. He never roused. Michael went in his sleep."
The 24-hour interval before his sudden cardiac arrest, Jackson had been practicing in Los Angeles for a series of return concerts planned to start in July in London UK to set in motion again his career after a 2005 trial and acquittal on child molestation charges.
Numerous media reports have stated that the dangerous sedative Diprivan - normally used in hospitals by anaesthesiologists - was found at his rented Los Angeles home.
Toxicology reports are still pending on the official cause of Jackson's death and has yet to be determined.
The Los Angeles Times reported on Thursday that the coroner's office has issued subpoenas for medical files from several doctors who treated Micheal Jackson, including his Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein.
Klein has flatly denied ever giving Jackson overdoses of drugs.
Burial plans for the Thriller singer have not been announced.
Michael Jackson devoted fans travelled from all around on Tuesday to say final goodbyes to their pop music champion, many journeying from across the US. and Europe for his public commemoration in Los Angeles.
"His music will last evermore. That's why I'm here today. It's like settlement. I'm a person who believes in miracles, and I'm seeing one today," said Jenee Huitt of Los Angeles, alluding to her gold bracelet letting her to be among the golden fans to attend the commemoration service.
About the service memorial site in downtown's Staples Center, sellers traded Jackson memorabilia such as T-shirts, collages, buttons and bouquets of snapdragons and dahlias.
"Diana Ross fetched the Jacksons in to this event, presented them and stated, `They're going to be stars,'" Huitt said.
Lovers inside Staples Center wept during the numerous emotional highlights during the divine service, which involved spoken testimonials and public presentations of Jackson songs.
Masses were tiny compared to those anticipated by police forces, who had released statements leading up to the service asking people without tickets to stay away.
Deputy Police Chief Sergio Diaz, operations chief for the event, said authorities had projected a crowd of 250,000 or more. Besides reporters and those with tickets to the memorial service, the excess crowd about the Staples Center perimeter came to only about 1,000, he said.
Police had based their projection of 250,000 mass on turnouts for the funerals of Princess Diana and Elvis Presley, along with the recent Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship parade, Diaz said.
The setting was resonant of one of Hollywood's many awards shows, which draw vendors and celebrity gawkers. Police helicopters flew overhead, and officers patrolled on foot and bicycle. The crowds were orderly.
Fans waved signs such as "Michael Jackson Lives." One turned himself into a walking music video, strapping a flat-screen TV to his back that played Jackson numbers.
Protester Couldn't Stay Away
Half a dozen protesters endured among fans, condemning Jackson over his child-molestation charges, holding signs that read, "Jacko in Hell," "You're Going to Hell" and "Mourn for Your Sins."
But Jackson's devotees far outnumbered his critics. They spent the early morning hours with other Jackson buffs.
"Michael Jackson was a legend. He had to die young because he was an idol," said her mother, Elsa Lopez de Gonzalez, 50. "He will be missed but he will live forever and a day." She just desired to be about the singer and his devotees.
"I think it was his charitable heart, his gentleness, his childlike ways," said Lewis, who signed a wall for fans to offer farewell sentiments to Jackson. "For me, he was the entire package as far as what an entertainer and what a person was supposed to be. I just think he was tremendous."

Man, even people's profile pictures blank, kinda looks like Michael Jackson!
I for one have never been a big fan of Micheal but I do respect him as the great artist he was. I do like his music just not as much as everyone else. he contributed greatly to music from the Jackson 5 through his solo career and of course had a huge impact on music much like Ray Charles who was a pioneer of soul music.
